POLICIES

Key Policies

Both MRC and HRC were formed with the idea that it is possible to manage a large block of industrial forestland with high standards of environmental stewardship and at the same time, operate a successful business. In this section we provide an overview of the most important policies that form the basis of these standards for both companies. These policies include how we identify and retain old growth trees, plans and considerations for restoring forest habitat and reducing road-related sediment in streams, long-term planning, third-party certification, and an open invitation to visit any forest operation or any part of our forests, any time. With these key policies in place, we have a viable road map for long-term management of these forests for ecological, social, and economic vitalit
